Right, last Sunday of month there is racing at Pimpama - 10km road race course. Ascot has been officially invited to attend and participate with a strong contingent of riders. I have given an indication we will aim for 4th Sunday in May. I will obtain more details about race in coming days. This would be a good race to further hone our improving team skills and to show the crowd we are fearless riders ready to die for the cause. Please mark this date in your calendar and lets get to work on our preparation.

So you're talking about the 27th of May Joe?
We should have some organisation in place by then, hopefully.
I thought for a minute you were talking about this Sunday! It's the first attempt at 4Peaks this Sunday.
Lock it in Joe, you're a mountain goat that we're relying on.

More info to follow....

Strategy meeting... jocolor So what you're telling us is that you're having a meeting to decide what you're having in your meeting!

Which translates to 'lets get pissed by drinking as much red wine as we can deciding what we can drink and/or talk about what we can drink/or talk about next meeting, while we're getting pissed!!' Oh, and let's eat some cheese at the same time!

Where do I sign up Joe? Cool

Yes I understand your reaction but, for the period of strategy discussion - 1pm to 5pm - no wine to be consumed. I had thought of the hip flask of Remy Martin as a counter measure. Will probably need something to lie on as well.

Phil, are we leaving Nundah at 5am for this ride?
22kph average gives 5.5 hours, 1.5 hours for breaks/mechanicals, back by 12pm.

I'm fine with 5am if everyone else is. Will need lights for the first 45mins or so if thats the case but thats ok.
Will talk at the track about it.

Phil? I laughed myself stupid. Had I had a couple of plonks I would have been on the floor. Joe? How can you sit for five hours talking about the stuff without the odd snifter? I suppose if you did you would all be asleep. But a good laugh anyway. Re the five hours on the Col de Brisbane's hardest maybe I could do just the Clear Mountain sector and pull off at Samford. Perhaps Joe would be happy with that also? And the Pimpama race sounds interesting. We'll discuss at the track as Phil said but I'd like to know what grades can take part. But see you tomorrow.

PAUL.. There will be no such talk of 'piking' out after two climbs on Sunday!

Remember, YOU ARE ONE RIDE AWAY FROM BEING 'THE COMPLETE CYCLIST'!!!

Paul, just to clarify - we are supposed to be talking about and formulating a strategic plan for the Club which will probably be more tedious than anything one can imagine. There maybe some drinks on the cards at the end provided we can be woken up. No
