Revenge of the Skin Suit
Dahlek has secured aero bars from GlennM and the way I was feeling on the front of the saddle I think I might try it without one! (Couldn't feel worse!). Now the aero socks . . . are they carbon?

Tres cool Dahlek re Aero bars....btw, I've changed the sound track for the vid above
You are obviously going to have to give your saddle some thought. TT'ers usually tilt the nose down slightly.
There's also specialist TT saddles such as Adamo's.
The most scientifically robust way to find your optimal position is to stick a power meter wheel on the back, and mess with position and comfort, and see which generates the highest average speed for roughly equivalent average power, with a level of comfort that can be maintained for your TT event. However, even the top GC riders still have compromised positions, and slide forwards on their saddle, then push their butt back every 30-60 seconds. Despite the annoyance, this may be the best way to stop numbness and pain from developing earlier.
As for borrowing a power meter for a session, Paul Willett might have some ideas.

Ha Ha Ha Bruce, that music is just so right! As far as the video is concerned it just shows how scrunched up I am. The bike has always been too small and this clearly demonstrates the problem. But don't worry, I'm not about to go out and buy a TT bike although I have just been to Ashley and he is lending and fitting an aluminum drop bar and he has some second-hand seats that we will experiment with to see if I can get a bit further forward. He is fitting Glenn's TT bars so the generosity of my fellow riders/LBS has made the change-over very cost effective. I'll get the bike back on Friday morning so will still be able to race at Elimbah on Saturday. I presume I will be able to detach the TT bars before racing on Saturday.
You know you take a pretty good video. It can't have been easy keeping the camera so steady and on target and it really does show the problems I have to overcome to get into a relaxed aero position. I'm sure I could do so if I can stretch out more on the bike. You can also be assured that I will be singing along to your music when I am sweating away during the TT! So thanks for doing such a good job. Hopefully the aero bars will help me stretch out more. I'll certainly be getting a bigger frame in October!

Paul,
that video is awesome...
When you told me 'oh so casually' about your new skin suit and helmet I had no idea....bloody hell. You look awesome.!
I wasn't even there but I was scared just looking at the sci-fi being just cruising around Nundah looking for prey.
I really love Dahlek, but I think I may have a new one for you TT alter-ego: "Paulus Pancratius"
(PANCRATIUS: Latin form of Greek Pankratios, meaning "all power." )
Forget Thor or Spartacus, Paulus Pancratius is here.!
You are a machine Mr. Dahl. God help us when you get set up properly, or even worse, when you get that new machine...!

Awesome video i have mentioned to Dahlek that he should do some more stretches so that he can stay in the aero position for longer periods. What do you think Bruce?
