I have used home made ride bars with success on longer rides. They work out a bit cheaper than Ride bars.

There are a few recipes around. The one I have used and liked is from Neil Bezdek.

Thats great Scott, I will have to make some and give it a try. Only on long rides though of course, that 300cal bar will certainly 'blow out' my diet plan!!

Like I said on Saturday Scott, we made a couple of batches of these bars/slabs using this recipe and on first tasting they are pretty bloody good.
They'll get a real test over the next couple of days. Hopefully I've cut them big enough for a 300'ish calorie hit!!

I'll get back to you on that one.
