Home Made Bars for longer Rides
I have used home made ride bars with success on longer rides. They work out a bit cheaper than Ride bars.
There are a few recipes around. The one I have used and liked is from Neil Bezdek.
The link to Neil's post and recipe is here

If you want to get ideas about wrapping for jersey pockets - try Allen Lim's way.

Thats great Scott, I will have to make some and give it a try. Only on long rides though of course, that 300cal bar will certainly 'blow out' my diet plan!!

Re: Home Made Bars for longer Rides
Like I said on Saturday Scott, we made a couple of batches of these bars/slabs using this recipe and on first tasting they are pretty bloody good.
They'll get a real test over the next couple of days. Hopefully I've cut them big enough for a 300'ish calorie hit!!
I'll get back to you on that one.
