OK, race strategy for C2 tomorrow, weather permitting:
- collude with the 3 fastest guys in the pack (could be Damien, Brad, Wayne, Graeme), and when the group slows in the second lap, attack from the back, passing the leaders at a 5kph differential. Hold 40+ till the last bend, then hammer it up the straight.

Re: Weekend rides Nov 10 - 11
Seeing as we'll probably get rained out tomorrow for racing (hopefully not, but I'm using reverse psychology here), I'm doing a ride on Sunday with Tina and Roger, and maybe a couple of others and thought that a few people will be itching to get out and ride somewhere 'different'.
It leaves from Jindalee and does a lap of Cootha before heading out through Upper Kedron and around the back of Samford to then go up to Glorious Village, then turn to come back down Nebo and around through Gap Ck Rd through Kenmore to the start point. Approx 105kms. 5.30 start.
IF anyone is feeling up to something more than a Xmas training ride training ride, then let us know and I'll let you know the start address, we'd be more than happy to have you along.

Congrats to Joe for actually breaking, twice I understand, and winning C1 today.
Who Dares Wins, sometimes.
Am bummed I didn't race this morning. Had a couple of looks at the rain radar early this morning and thought racing would be canceled.

Small fields but good racing today. Nice to see Joe Hughes and Phil Jones succeed in a C1 breakaway. B grade was fun and safe 18 starters 13 finishers. But where were the A graders? Only Mick Manson turned up!

The BOM has revised their forecast for early rain and showers. Again, won't get any traction trying to climb Lochinvar Rd or Glorious if its wet.
I'll check the radar early and send you and Tina a text to let you know if its on. I've already spoken to Roger and he's cool with that.
Having said that, it will clear in the morning sometime so Tina and I are definately getting out for a ride somewhere. Keep you posted.

Yeah, was actually thinking of something a bit longer than looping Cootha. I've got a nice brand spanking BMC GranFondo roadie demo to try out for a few days and need to put it through it's paces!!
Will definately text early (4.45) to see if its on, then later to organise something.

Re: Weekend rides Nov 10 - 11
The reccy of Nerang Chillingham Tyalgum Murwillumbah Tomewin Mtn Rd, Currumbin Valley was absolutely sensational today.
I reckon this route is without parallel in Australia. It's a veritable cycle touring Nirvana.
The rugged mountain ridges of Springbrook, Lamington, Border Ranges, Jerusalum, and Nightcap National Parks, and Mt Warning, make for a brilliant backdrop, especially when there's cloud and showers enshrouding them in other worldly mystique.
Then there's a brilliant coffee roaster at Flutterbies in Tyalgum.
And the Tomewin Mountain Rd climb is within the capabilities of all AC riders with brilliant views from the upper sections....then there's a brilliant descent into Qld on the northern side.
Can't wait to ride this baby. Could be a good one to stay the night in Tyalgum or down on the Gold Coast.
