Hey GD,
Might see how I feel when I wake up and maybe come along, as long as its at Sunday 'long' ride pace, not an interval session smash fest!!
We had an awesome ride today in NTH NSW. Racked up 200 with a tick under 3000 mts on a sensational loop around Nightcap NP, followed by a soothing swim at Pottsville.
Then again, I may just stay in bed and stroll down for a coffee, pretty hard to top that one!

Just adding too 180's words.
Yesterday's ride was through some of the best scenery I've ever ridden.
Pottsville, Mullum, Byron, Bangalow, Nimbin (yeah man), were some of the points that punctuated the incredible scenery and mostly quiet rural roads we rode. Absolutely fantastic...
In 2013, I'll be riding this territory more than the Canungra centric stuff of 2012.
About half way through the ride, I realized I'd been sick a week earlier, and been eating and drinking too much for over amonth.
But still managed to get through. Was smashed last night....but woke up feeling pretty good, and after a surf and pleasant lunch with the hoi polloi, have forgotten how mangled I was yesterday at the same time.
Thanks again Phil.

Yes Bruce, it was a ride to remember for sure and one I'd go back to in a heartbeat. I think as Roger said it might be a different game doing that loop in reverse (which it was originally mapped as). I reckon we did it the right way with the scenery over Cape Byron in the morning as we climbed up over Possum Shoot Rd.
Huge congrats to you again for making it through considering your flu/virus the week before. You looked as white as a sheet at the Dunoon shop, and it wasn't just the sunscreen! By the way, that minted lamb pie and spinach and fetta sausage roll were sensational at that stop!!
There are a few different options we could take on those roads to the south of Nightcap NP, although yesterdays route would be hard to top.

Grant, I rode the Goat Track a lot when living at Highvale just down the road, when the GT was a well graded one way (up) road. It was a great short cut between Glorious and Nebo Rds then. Today, I think it's not wise to ride a good roadie up. Better to walk it.
Amazing how nature has reclaimed it in such a short time.
If I had been feeling fresher on our ride, there was some absolutely fantastic photo opportunities. Tina got a group shot at one stage on a bridge across a brilliant swimming spot on Eureka Road. Hopefully we'll get that posted here soon.
I had lunch with Judy and another advertising friend, Gel, today on conspicuous Tedder Ave. Gel's a creative hotshot who now lives in Mullum. We talked a lot about life down there. He reckons the place is a real hotspot now for creatives from all walks of life, more so than Byron and Bangalow....and there's nothing of the alt culture of Nimbin. I'm intending to get down that way and ride more this year. Phil, I'll catch up with Tony to explore the area together.
The route from Mullum and along to Coorabell had the best views imho, and it's brilliant riding stuff like that early in the morning virtually free of traffic. I used to stay with friends in Federal and drove that route often. Always wanted to get back there on a bicycle.

yeah Phil, will let you know what we organize. I enjoyed his company, esp when we were both fatiguing towards the top of the Channon - a deceptively demanding gradual climb.
