Who is doing this race on Saturday? I have been riding around all week with my tri-bars on and my seat slammed forward feeling like a total gumby - all I need really is a fluro pink sleeveless jersey and I will totally look the part!

34kms of pain and suffering - i will be happy if i can get it done within an hour Very Happy

Sorry Peter,
My head leans towards 280kms of pain and suffering in the Gold Coast Hinterland rather than subject myself to the 'hillbillies' that frequent that road!! I've had a couple of 'near misses' on the road to Dayboro so it doesn't really captivate me all that much.
Hope you have a good TT, I'm sure you'll get in under the hour, even with the rollies out there. Just got to hope that headwind isn't up in the morning.

Well it is great to be back on-line - computer virus problems - but all seems well now - touch wood! It amazes me to read the different assessment of what constitutes pain and suffering! Peter - I'm with you mate. The TT was hard work - even without any appreciable headwinds. 34km and I am stuffed! I can't wait for the official time but my Garmin said it was 58mins. which is the first time I have gone under 60mins. But to be honest, 34km as opposed to 280km PhilM? I can't begin to make a comparison because I am going to bed!

Well that was as painful as I imagined - still I am happy with my unofficial time of 55 mins. I think we've got another ITT in July, so it will be interesting to see how my time changes then.

Also, a big thank you to the friendly neighbours of the closeburn hall this morning, and their "polite" request for them to move my car from the street outside their house.

Congratulations to Paul Dahl for winning C2 grade !! You beat Wayne Wilson by 50 seconds bounce

I got 10th in B grade, out of a pretty big field, so am happy with that.

Yes, nice one Paul. Well done all starters. Some fast times out there today.
Be interesting to see how the legs pull up for tomorrow.
